How do I book new client services?
The new client registration process is as follows:
-
Fill out the contact form; once this is received, expect a response within 48 hours**
-
You will be contacted via email to schedule a complimentary meet and greet prior to your departure
-
You will receive a registration form via email to fill out prior to your departure. This form includes more in-depth info about your cat (their health, routines, etc), your veterinarian's info, payment info, and our policies.
-
Once this process has been completed, you may email us to book future visits. If any pertinent information changes about your cat or your home, please contact us so that we can update our files.

** due to the high volume of correspondence we receive, we are unable to respond to every request (including requests for services that are outside of our service areas)
Do you offer discounts if I am going away for x amount of days?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer discounts at this time. Our service fees are very reasonable considering the level of care that we provide to the cats we watch, and our fees are often less than other local sitting services.
Do you have any special training or qualifications?
Erica has over 10 years of experience in the field of veterinary nursing, in which she has worked in general practice, shelter medicine, and emergency & critical care. While she is not a doctor and cannot legally diagnose an illness, she is trained and qualified to determine whether your cat is experiencing a medical emergency, or if they seem ill or not themselves. She is trained in pet first aid and is RECOVER trained for pet CPR, and is a Fear Free Certified professional. Many of the cats she cares for have medical conditions, such as feline lower urinary tract disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, irritable bowel disease, etc. All PKL sitters receive training by Erica to help recognize signs of serious illness.
What areas do you service?
We currently service south Philly (Point Breeze, Newbold, East/West Passyunk, Queen Village, East/West Moyamensing, Pennsport, etc), Center City (Rittenhouse, Washington Square, Bella Vista, Fitler Square, etc), Old City, Graduate Hospital, and Fishtown. We can occasionally make exceptions for kitties outside of these zones, however we are not always able to do so.
What time of day will my cat be visited?
Morning kitty visits generally fall between 8-11, and evening kitty visits are between 6-10pm. If you have not specified a timeframe, your cat will be visited between the hours of 8am - 9:30pm. If your kitty has specific needs, such as requiring a more exact time for medication administration, please let us know during registration.

Who will be watching my cat?
Erica started the business in 2013, and until 2019 was the sole provider of services. Due to a sharp uptick in business, Erica started hiring qualified sitters in 2019 to assist with additional new clients. At this time, Erica cares for all cats with medical needs.
We do our best to schedule the same sitter each time you request services for continuity of care, but due to scheduling conflicts we might not be able to do this every time.
Are you insured?
